Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co. Ltd. is a joint venture company established in 1992 in developing, manufacturing and selling large-to-medium-sized luxury buses and light buses with trade mark of "Golden Dragon". Its construction area is 160,000 square meters with the total occupation of 350,000 square meters. There are 3 manufacture bases, and the complete product covers the bus models in 4.8~18 meters long with 5-66 seats.

The commence of China's first complete vehicle body pretreatment and cathode electrophoresis primer production line for large-sized coaches marks the beginning of the upgrading of the coating process of China's large-sized coach industry to the comparable standard of medium-end sedan cars and to the highest international standards for coach building. The standard of Golden Dragon's coating process is fundamentally improved and reach new highs, the corrosion and rust resistance of the bodies of Golden Dragon coaches is on par with the standard of sedan cars, and the coating quality of large-sized Golden Dragon coaches is of the highest standard in China and up to world-class standards. 1. Technical Process
Today, Golden Dragon is a coach manufacturer with a full and complete range of coach products in China. At present, Golden Dragon is conducting a technical upgrading of its coach processes. After the completion of this upgrading, Golden Dragon will have not only China's first body pre-treatment and cathode electrophoretic primer line for complete large coaches, but also the nation's first electrophoretic painting line for complete large coaches.

Moreover, Golden Dragon has implemented automated control for the key process parameters of its paint mixing system; it uses cathode electrophoresis for the primer, paints the vehicle bottom with anti-pebble glue, sands and seals welding seams, and employs equipment produced by leading US companies for floating coat and finishing coat, featuring high electrostatic spraying atomization, good coating uniformity, and strong adhesion.

The improvement of its production process, the high efficiency of its logistics system, the full implementation of its superior production management and the application of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, have allowed Golden Dragon to occupy a leadership position in the domestic coach industry in terms of manufacturing expertise.

2. Product Development Capabilities
Golden Dragon has embarked on a development path of independent innovations. It operates a provincial-level technology center armed with more than 150 professionals with expertise in complete vehicles, chassis and electric appliances, including 45 personnel with senior professional ranks and 63 personnel with intermediate professional ranks. Golden Dragon has also strengthened technological cooperation with Sweden's Scania, Japan's Hino and many other international coach manufacturers. Such international exchange and cooperation have allowed Golden Dragon to develop core technologies that fit China's actuality. Golden Dragon is also committed to improving its independent development capabilities and its product development capabilities rank among the best in the domestic industry. In 2005, Golden Dragon was accredited by the Ministry of Communications as a high grade 3 coach builder. For four consecutive years, Golden Dragon has launched more than 20 new products per annum. It owns full-load technology, hybrid power coach technology, low entrance public bus technology, and clean fuel coach technology, all of which has proprietary intellectual property rights. Golden Dragon also leads the industry in safe and green coach fields. Moreover, its new coach products have won several awards in national competitions.

In 2006, Golden Dragon developed 10 fundamental types of coach products, with 64 products listed in national product bulletins. Last year, Golden Dragon filed for 15 patents on coach appearance and interior trim.

3. Quality Standard
As a famous Chinese brand with proprietary intellectual property rights, Golden Dragon gives first priority to product quality and has built a complete set of quality systems that fit its development. It fully implements the ISO 9001:2000 quality management standards and has incorporated some TS1694 quality management requirements into such systems. On the basis of these efforts, Golden Dragon has created a "quality firewall" system, also known as "zero defect and error prevention device", in which potential sources of defects are identified and a series of measures, including simple industrial assembly or mechanical devices, are adopted to ensure that during the operating process the employees can constantly improve product quality. Thanks to all these endeavors, Golden Dragon has been repeatedly honored as an advanced enterprise with both product quality and after-sales service in compliance with national standards. 

Golden Dragon procures parts worldwide and requires suppliers to conform strictly to the ISO9000 quality system. It makes meticulous comparisons and rigorously screens potential suppliers to identify the most qualified ones. It conducts stringent inspections by matching supplies against technical parameters provided by its Technology Center. It also performs rigorous in-process control and implements self and mutual inspections between proceeding and subsequent processes during the course of production, as well as inspections between workshop sections. The special and random inspections by QC personnel and the professional high-efficiency automobile safety inspection and test line jointly assure the conformance rate of products rolled out.
