Thanks to the refinement of the filter technology of the diesel engine installation, the EEV emission standard is easily met. The application possibilities for alternative fuels are being developed further.

The Phileas combines the positive aspects of a tram or metro with the flexibility and low running costs of a bus system. This public transport vehicle has a parallel hybrid drive system ensuring low fuel consumption and a low emission of harmful gases.

In the coach sector, VDL Bus & Coach is the market leader in the Netherlands and one of the trend-setting players in the European market. Production includes both integrated and chassis-based designs.
