China's Higer Bus Company has shipped 2258 units to markets outside China during the first six months of the current fiscal year. The company says her export activities in this period resulted in a turnover of 125 million US dollars, being an increase of 29 percent compared with last year.
About 30 percent of the production volume of the first six months of 2008 was shipped to end-users outside China, the company claims this result to be an increase of 59 percent compared with the same period of 2007. Higer is at this moment represented in some 60 countries outside China.

In order to support the overseas business development, the company is now investing in upgrading the overseas distributor management and homologation, and in the quality of the distributor network, training and after-sales service.
Established in 1998, Higer Bus claims a production capacity of 18,000 complete buses and chassis per year. In 2005, the sales were more than 10,000 units and in 2006 reached 13,500 units. Up to 2006, the accumulated sales exceeded 60,000 units since 1998. During the past few years over 2000 units of Higen buses were exported annually to different countries around the world exceeding 20% of total sales.
