On July 8, 2008 a delegation led by the Executive Director So Young Jun from Korean Hyundai Motor Co. visited Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd. and signed a supply agreement with regard to parts and technology. Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co. is one of China's large-scaled complete vehicles manufacturer with an annual production capacity of some 25,000 units, including minibuses.

In 2007, Golden Dragon achieved a turnover of RMB 4.5 billion (overseas sales: USD 0.143 billion), continuing for the fourth year in succession their position as second-largest Chinese coach builder. Golden Dragon has now renewed their co-operation agreement with the commercial vehicle division of Hyundai Motors, giving them access to this manufacturer as source for chassis and power system technology. Due to this cooperation with Hyundai, the quality of Golden Dragon's coaches should further improve during the coming years.

Golden Dragon originally started her co-operation with Hyundai in 1992, extending their relationship in 1999 for the first time.
