The first pure-electric bus with zero emissions recently began its test operation in Beijing airport passenger bus route between Beijing Capital International Airport and the downtown Beijing Xidan. It is understood that if pure-electric bus shows good test results,  it will gradually replace the traditional vehicles currently being used.

According to the data from bus manufacturer, the electric airport bus with lithium batteries 500AH, can drive up to 200-kilometers distance, the maximum speed over one hundred kilometers. With 40A vehicle charger for charging, seven hours will be needed.

Mr. Wang, deputy director of Service Department of Civil Aviation Administration of China authorities said, after almost half a month of testing, the bus achieved at least 50% of fuel savings.
