With the the state's new energy policy on the promotion of electric vehicles, recently Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd., Nantong City and MGL agreed to sign the contract of the first batch of 100 electric buses to put into use in Nantong City under the joint research development involving government, industry and academic.

In accordance with the requirements provided in Co-operation agreement, Zhongtong Bus is responsible to supply the new energy bus and vehicle technology, while MGL providing new battery power system before the end of June 2010 to jointly assembly 60 hybrid electric buses and 40 pure electric buses in Nantong, all of which will be purchased by Nantong Government and the procurement funds will be in place before the end of December 2009.

It is the second order for Zhongtong Bus after the first batch of new energy buses put into use in Jinan City. To tightly grasp the new energy opportunity and create greater value for the company, Zhongtong Bus follows a carefully organized and implemented program to ensure the domestic dominance in new energy bus project.
