The torch of 2008 Beijing Olympics successfully reached Mount Everest summit, which is at an elevation of 8,844.43 meters, at 9:17 of May 8. The whole world was filled to the brim with joy at that very moment. The sacred flame coming from Olympia was burning brightly at this sacred mountain, the third pole of the world.

After careful inspection and consideration, they finally chose the Higer bus. They had bought several Higer buses before and had been impressed by Higer's excellent performance in harsh environment. In February, 2008, a Higher V8 successfully went to Tibet. Maybe by coincidence, the pattern on the coach body included two pieces of auspicious cloud, which looked as if the Higer bus was destined to support the Olympic torch relay to Mt Everest.
On March 31, the Olympic flame landed at Beijing and the worldwide torch relay started while part of the flame was to be sent to the summit of Mt Everest. Through live broadcast of the Everest base camp at an elevation of 5,200 meters on April 28, the whole world had seen two Higer V8 buses running on the bumpy mountain road. At the Everest base camp, the journalist passengers were also giving recognition to these two nice and comfortable Higer buses by raising their cameras to capture the images.
Higer has witnessed the moment when the Olympic flame landed at the summit of Mt Everest. It is believed that Higer bus will continue to provide support for the Tibet tour of the Olympic flame.
