Near the end of 2009, the tender for a total of 1263 buses, a large single purchase by Beijing Public Transport Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd. went to Kinglong, Higer, Yutong, Foton and Ankai, of which Kinglong became the biggest winner in open tender securing the largest number of 348 buses in the bidding, valued over 200 million yuan.

Beijing Public Transport has accelerated the replacement of vehicles in recent years to ensure the environmental protection. The tender is an additional plan to eliminate the yellow-standard buses and replaced for vehicles to meet the requirements of State's emission standards.

The high discharge requirement of this tender is a major characteristic. It's reported that 1163 buses of the tender met the State's emission standards, as well as over 100 buses to follow standard.

According to sales personnel of Kinglong, the bidding model XMQ6120C is designed as the suburban bus in 2009, suitable for short-range suburban transportation. Compared to the traditional tourist buses and city buses, XMQ6120C combines with large capacity, convenience to get on and off, comfort and broad luggage area as well as to meet driving requirements at low speed and the high-speed highway.

XMQ6120C first appeared in April, 2009 at Beijing International Exhibition on Road transport vehicles, and immediately attracted a large customers. Currently the bus has been sold to Italy and other overseas market in bulk. The successful bidding in Beijing is the first time for XMQ6120C in domestic sales.

In recent years, Kinglong bus increased the market-share year by year in Beijing with high quality products and services. From 2005 onwards, successive tenders have made good results and the cumulative sales of Kinglogn buses access to nearly 2000 units. In early 2009, Kinglong has received an order for 20 hybrid electric buses in Beijing and among the nation's top three bus manufactures to retain kinglong passenger capacity of more than 2800 vehicles.
