A long line-up of buses of Chinese origin, including luxurious, midi and mini variants of diverse capacities for mass transit, intra-city, tour and shuttle uses, will soon hit the Nigerian market wearing the renowned Yutong badge.

The vehicles are coming courtesy of Maneffort Limited, a leasing, logistics, auto sales and manpower training and development firm. Maneffort, which is the preferred franchise owner with head office in Lagos, plans to redefine bus transportation in the country with the Chinese products.

In an exclusive chat recently, Mohammed Segir Biodun, Managing Director of Maneffort, said all the buses destined for the Nigerian market in line with the dictates of the environment, will be running on Cummins engines.

He stated that, only high quality engines produced by world famous manufacturers are installed in Yutong buses, while the brand;s technical centre intensively studies the numerous factors influencing fuel efficiency. As a result, the company has succeeded in making the engines run stably even with lower fuel consumption through the adoption of advanced engine technologies.

When finally available, top of the range will be the Yutong ZK6147H super luxurious model passenger bus with rigid bus body structure. Through strict control of each step in design and production, the brand reduces the maintenance rate and cost, while bringing to customers long-term value in return. It is equipped with double glass front windscreen with smooth outline and also maintenance-friendly and sophisticated driveline with low fuel consumption.

Other models that will compete with the likes of Toyota Coaster and Nissan Civilian bus are the Yutong commercial buses with model numbers ZK6737D and ZK6116D. The former is designed with fashionable headlight with diamond style, and open-view side window.

For tour operators, Yutong Tourist Coach promises to deliver value to prospective players in the industry with ZK6100HB. The bus flaunts a fine body design with multiple anti-corrosion techniques for strength. The interior trimming focuses on the passengers and ensures comfort while in motion.
